Nature and Scope of this Position:

The ideal candidate for this position has experience with cooking for a quick service restaurant. The position available is with, our client, a growing food services chain. The chosen applicant will need to ensure compliance with: Customer service standards, company policies, and procedures. Work with managers, and staff to achieve efficiency, and customer satisfaction needs. Coordinate with team members to cook and prepare meals according to recipes.

Main Duties:

Ensure menu items are prepared according to recipes
Measure and assemble ingredients
Maintain accurate food inventories
Properly store food items according to health and safety standards
Ensure proper handling and storage of raw and organic produce
Uphold cleanliness standards for work/prep area as well as the general kitchen
Rotate stock items according to established procedure
Communicate dietary and menu related information to staff and customers
Uphold customer service standards
Work as a team with other members to produce safe and prompt service

Employment Requirements:

1-2 years experience as a cook
Specific experience cooking Jamaican food and dishes
Smart Serve
