Job Overview- Description & Duties:
York-Durham Heritage Railway has various positions available for the very popular and busy Day Out With Thomas™ event. The event will take place outdoors, lasts for 6 days in August, and involves manning 1 (or more) of 16 stations that will be set up on the railway station grounds. At these stations the individual is expected to engage with the children and their parents in a friendly and informed manner.
Duties are specific to each station; for example, at the Gift Shop the individual will be responsible for stocking shelves, helping customers and processing payments. Boarding Attendants will manage the lines and make sure passengers board the proper coach.
Individuals may be required to work at their station on their own. It is important that the railway ambassadors be professional.
Training will be provided.

Positions are open for candidates 16 years of age and older.
